Overfill Prevention Valves

Premium Overfill Prevention Valve

Suitable for above ground commercial diesel storage installations, and pressure deliveries. It incorporates many proven RIS-STOP features and now includes a more compact 4-bolt flanged inlet on the body allowing greater maximum tank fluid levels.

  • Cartridge construction for easy installation and access via the 2” or 3″ tank lid socket supplied
  • Very high flow capacity (50% greater than some competitive products)
  • Effective at low flow rates (10-600 l/m) Pressure delivery up to 8 bar maximum
  • Two-stage shut off giving warning of complete closure over last 15mm of level change
  • On-site inspection and testing via access cap without pipework dis-assembly
  • No dynamic seals – promoting long service life
  • Acts as anti-syphon valve in normally closed position
  • Suitable for fuels of SAE10 or lower (other models available for higher viscosity)

Suitable for:
Diesel
BioDiesel / FAME Blends

Standard Overfill Prevention Valve

Technical Specification

Minimum Flow :                50 LPM

Maximum Flow :               580 LPM

Minimum Pressure :         2.18 PSI ( 150 mbar )

Maximum Pressure :        100 PSI ( 7 Bar )

Operation

  1. Couple up the Tanker’s fill hose to the valve.
  2. Commence filling. If this is the first time then observe rising fuel level.
  3. As the level approaches maximum capacity the OPV will close the line of delivery to prevent an overfill situation.
  4. If the tank is filled to the point that the OPV is closed, isolate the delivery nozzle to the valve and / or turn off the supply pump.
  5. When the delivery pressure drops, the OPV will naturally drain the line.
  6. Finally disconnect the fill hose and replace any protective cap on the OPV.

Important

This valve will only operate correctly with clean fuel. Contaminants and foreign particles may cause the valve to fail and invalidate warranty claims. In the unlikely event of problems arising with this unit please refer to the supplying agent or distributor.
